August releases

In August, Universal brought great releases in a variety of categories with: The Bad Guys, Ambulance, Firestarter and The Northman.

The Bad Guys
Never before have five friends been as infamous as The Bad Guys – Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, Mr. Piranha, Mr. Shark and Ms. Tarantula. After years of countless heists, they are the most wanted villains in the world. They finally get caught, but Mr. Wolf makes a deal to keep them out of jail. All they have to do? Make the world believe they are staying on the straight and narrow.

Ambulance
In this spectacular action thriller directed by Michael Bay, we are introduced to Will (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Candyman), a veteran who is in dire need of money. He turns to his foster brother Danny (Jake Gyllenhaal, Spider-Man: Far From Home) who offers him a proposition: the biggest bank heist in Los Angeles history. When things go horribly wrong during the robbery, the brothers hijack an ambulance with nurse Cam (Eiza González, Baby Driver) on board and a cop fighting for his life. It ends up being the most insane escape attempt ever made in LA.

Firestarter
Blumhouse breathes new life into Firestarter with this explosive adaptation of the classic Stephen King thriller. Protected by her parents, Charlie has lived her childhood on the run, keeping her extraordinary pyrokinetic powers in check. But now that she is turning 11, the flames are harder to control and sinister forces are trying to capture her. Charlie must learn to embrace her gift to protect her family and her freedom.

The Northman
The Northman, from visionary director Robert Eggers (The Lighthouse, The Witch), is a heroic action epic about a young Viking prince and his mission to avenge the murder of his father. The star-studded cast includes Alexander Skarsgård, Nicole Kidman, Claes Bang, Anya Taylor-Joy, Ethan Hawke, Björk and Willem Dafoe.

Day One took care of the PR and influencer campaign in the Benelux. This consisted of several giveaways, promotional activations and influencer collaborations.
